About Rescues Unlimited
Rescues Unlimited is a non-profit animal rescue organization located in Gregory, South Dakota. Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate animals in need, and find them loving forever homes. We are dedicated to saving the lives of animals and providing them with a second chance at happiness.
At Rescues Unlimited, we believe that every animal deserves a loving home. We work tirelessly to rescue animals from high-kill shelters, abusive situations, and neglectful environments. Our team of dedicated volunteers and staff members provide the animals with the care and attention they need to thrive.
Rescues Unlimited is committed to promoting responsible pet ownership and educating the community about the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe that by working together, we can make a difference in the lives of animals and create a more compassionate world.
Adopting from Rescues Unlimited
When you adopt from Rescues Unlimited, you are not just bringing home a pet, you are saving a life. All of our animals are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. We carefully screen potential adopters to ensure that our animals are placed in loving and responsible homes.
Our adoption process begins with an application, which can be found on our website. We ask potential adopters to provide information about their living situation, previous pet ownership, and their ability to provide for the needs of the animal they wish to adopt. Once the application is submitted, our team reviews it and contacts the applicant to schedule a meet and greet.
During the meet and greet, you will have the opportunity to spend time with the animal you are interested in adopting. This allows you to get to know the animal and determine if they are the right fit for your family. If the meet and greet goes well, we will proceed with the adoption process.
Before finalizing the adoption, we require a home visit to ensure that the environment is safe and suitable for the animal. This is done to ensure that the animal will be well cared for and that the adoption is a good match for both the animal and the adopter.
Once the adoption is approved, we will complete the necessary paperwork and collect the adoption fee. The adoption fee helps to cover the cost of veterinary care, spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and other expenses associated with rescuing and caring for animals.
At Rescues Unlimited, we are committed to providing support to our adopters even after the adoption is complete. We are always available to answer any questions or provide guidance on pet care and behavior. We also offer resources and referrals to help with training, grooming, and other pet-related services.
